Postmappe (Outbound)
Postmappe (/inbox/postmappe) is the outbound queue. Letters and messages drafted in Law (or generated from templates) pass through review before they are sent.
Outbound lifecycle
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|

| Review | Waiting for lawyer/secretariat approval |
| Signing | Sent to Workspace for e-signature |
| Approved | Ready to send |
| Sent | Delivered via chosen channel |

Edit if needed
Open the brief composer to adjust text, letterhead, or attachments.
Approve or request signing
Approve for immediate send, or route to Signing if a signature is required.
Send
Confirm send. beA and postal channels use the configured connectors; email uses connected mailboxes.
Brief composer
The composer supports:
- Letter templates and text blocks (Textbausteine)
- Case and party merge fields
- Multiple delivery channels per firm setup
- PDF preview before send
Signing with Workspace
When signing is required, the document opens in Optimaite Workspace (signing flow). After all parties sign, the item returns to Postmappe as Approved or moves to Sent automatically depending on your workflow.
Signing is initiated from the account menu or Postmappe actions — you briefly leave Law for Workspace and return when complete.
Postausgangsbuch
German firms often maintain a Postausgangsbuch (outbound register) for compliance. Entries are created when mail is sent; verification steps are available in the correspondence module for audit trails.
