.png,.jpg,.webp) — attached to documents
What's Preserved
Optimaite's parser is built for legal-grade fidelity. When you upload a Word document, we preserve:
- Text formatting — fonts, sizes, colors, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough
- Paragraph styles — named styles with full inheritance chains
- Numbering — legal numbering (1.1.1), letter lists, multi-level numbering definitions
- Tables — borders, shading, merged cells, conditional formatting, banding
- Headers & footers — per-section, first-page different, odd/even
- Track changes — insertions, deletions, moves, formatting changes
- Comments — threaded, with author and date
- Images — inline and floating, with positioning
- Shapes & text boxes — with text content
- Fields — page numbers, TOC, cross-references, SEQ fields
- Bookmarks — for cross-referencing
- Footnotes & endnotes
After import, your document is fully editable — not a read-only preview. Every element can be selected, modified, and reformatted.
Tips for Best Results
- Use
.docxformat (not.doc) for the best fidelity - Complex VML shapes may render approximately — the content is preserved even if positioning is slightly different
- Documents with custom fonts will use the closest available web font
- Very large documents (500+ pages) may take a few seconds to process
