Track Changes & Review
Enable Track Changes
Toggle track changes from the toolbar's review button. When enabled:
- Insertions appear with a colored underline
- Deletions appear with a colored strikethrough
- Formatting changes are annotated in the margin
- Moves show source (strikethrough) and destination (double underline)
Each change is attributed to the author and timestamped.
Accept & Reject Changes
Click on any tracked change to see options:
- Accept — applies the change permanently
- Reject — reverts to the original text
- Accept All / Reject All — batch operations
Comments
Add comments by selecting text and clicking the comment button (or use the AI to add comments via prompts).
Comments are:
- Threaded — reply to existing comments
- Attributed — shows author name and timestamp
- Resolvable — mark as resolved without deleting
AI-Powered Review
The AI assistant in Review mode can:
- Check for inconsistent terminology
- Flag ambiguous or risky clauses
- Verify compliance with your custom rules
- Generate a review report with specific citations
Using Playbooks
Playbooks are reusable review rule sets. Create one with rules like:
- "Ensure all liability caps are at least €1M"
- "Flag any clause that allows unilateral termination"
- "Check that defined terms are capitalized consistently"
Create a playbook
Go to Playbooks in the sidebar and click "Create Playbook." Add your rules as natural language instructions.
Run a playbook
Open a document, switch to Review mode, and select your playbook. The AI evaluates every rule against the document.
Review departures
The AI generates a list of departures — specific places where the document doesn't meet your rules. Click any departure to jump to the relevant text.
Compare Documents
Compare two versions of a document to see every change:
Open Compare mode
Click "Compare" on the home page, or switch the AI to Compare mode.
Select documents
Choose the original and modified documents from your library.
Review changes
The AI generates a side-by-side comparison with AI-summarized descriptions of each change.
