Clauses

Clauses are reusable text blocks — paragraphs, sections, or entire pages that you insert into any document.

  • Create a clause from any selected text in the editor
  • Insert a clause via the clause picker or by typing its name in ⌘K
  • Edit clauses without affecting documents that already use them

Clauses are perfect for standard legal language — confidentiality paragraphs, limitation of liability, force majeure. Write once, use everywhere.

Playbooks

Playbooks automate document reviews with custom rules. Define what to check for, and the AI evaluates every clause in your document.

Example rules:

  • "Flag any indemnification clause without a cap"
  • "Ensure all dates use DD.MM.YYYY format"
  • "Check that the governing law is German law"

Each rule generates a departure report with specific citations and suggestions for improvement.
